Thank you for using QR Scanner & Generator (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By installing or using the App you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Device Permissions

The App requests permission to access certain device features. We only request permissions necessary for the App's core functionality:

• Camera — used to scan QR codes and barcodes. The camera stream is processed locally on the device; we do not upload camera video or images to our servers.
• Storage / Photos — used to save generated QR images to your device gallery when you choose the "Save" action.

1.2 Data You Provide

You may provide data directly in the App, for example:

• Text or URLs you enter to generate QR codes.
• Optional user settings (e.g. display preferences).

1.3 Automatically Collected Data

The App may store non-personal usage information locally for performance and feature purposes, such as:

• AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect certain non-personal identifiers (such as advertising ID, device information, IP address, and general usage data) to serve and personalize ads.
• Scan and generation history stored on your device (QR data, timestamps) in local storage.
• Basic app diagnostics and crash reports (if you opt in to crash reporting).

2. How We Use Information

We do not collect, store, or share any personal information on our servers. All QR related data stays on your device. Specifically:

• Scanned QR codes are processed locally on your device and stored only in the in-app history for your convenience.
• Generated QR codes are created locally on your device and may be saved to your gallery only when you choose to do so.
• Advertising data (such as your device’s advertising ID, approximate location, and app usage information) may be collected and processed by Google AdMob to serve ads within the App.

This means your scanned and generated QR codes are private and remain only on your device.

3. Local Storage & History

Scan and generation history is stored locally on the device (in app storage or AsyncStorage). This history is not sent to our servers. You can clear history from the app at any time.

4. Third-Party Services

The App may use third-party libraries and services for analytics, crash reporting, or other development tools. These services may collect usage information or crash logs. We will disclose any such services and provide opt-out information where applicable.

5. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, share, or disclose any personal information. Since all scanned and generated QR codes are stored locally on your device, we have no access to them. No information is transmitted to us or to any third parties.

Advertising SDKs may collect anonymous usage or device data to serve ads.

6. Security

Because all data is stored locally on your device, your security depends on the protections of your own device (such as device lock, encryption, etc.). We do not collect or store your data on external servers, reducing the risk of unauthorized access from outside sources.

Any data shared with AdMob is handled securely according to their respective policies.

7. Retention

All scan and generation history is stored only on your device. You may clear this history at any time within the app or by uninstalling the app. We do not retain or store any of your data on our servers.

8. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because the App does not transmit or store data on our servers, there is no collection of children’s data. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child is using the App inappropriately, you can simply uninstall it to remove all stored history.

9. Your Rights & Choices

• Permissions: You can manage or revoke camera and storage permissions in your device settings at any time.
• Access & Deletion: The App stores history locally on your device. You can view and delete this history within the App, or uninstall the App to remove all locally stored data.
• Opt-Out: The App does not use analytics, crash reporting, or tracking. No opt-out is required.
• Ad Settings — You can manage personalized ad preferences via Google settings.

10. International Transfer

The App does not transmit or store data on any external servers. Therefore, no international data transfers occur.

Ad data may be processed by Google’s servers in accordance with its policies.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect improvements in the App or changes in legal requirements. The updated version will be available within the App listing, and the "Last updated" date will indicate the most recent revision.
